Bio / CV

My heritage and queer identity are a driving force in my studio practice. My family tree is one centered around women sewing. I playfully balance geometric compositions that often relate to traditional quilting designs. As a young boy, I’ve always connected to the Pennsylvania Dutch designs married to our Americana interiors.  My works derive from traditional Amish patterns but often venture into a new space with layers of bright monochromatic color themes and experimental sewing.
